The menu at the brand new Chai Pani is such great value that we just want to work our way through it, and bring all the flavourful Indian dishes back to eat at home. Three veggie (or meat) samosas, unusually for Calgary, are topped with green and tamarind chutneys on chickpeas here, and as it says on the menu “topped with heaps of fresh awesomeness”– we agree!
It doesn’t matter what time of day it is, crunchy, salty, fried chicken skin is always the perfect go-to snack here. At Brasserie Kensington, it comes with house-made fermented jalapeno sauce, which is masterful in itself, and even better for a spicy kick and to cut through the richness of the chicken. Chicken crack!
Elwood & The Rabbit
We have lots to try yet at this brand new eatery, but we’re more than happy to report that the Rabbit Liver Parfait is excellent! It’s smooth as silk and comes with fruit preserves, pickled onions and croutons. Yes, please!
