When did you last visit Bite Grocery and Eatery in Inglewood for all-day breakfast, lunch or brunch? We did very recently and were delighted to find one of our favourite Calgary chefs – Dwayne Ennest, of Open Range, Big Fish, and White Rose and the Coal Shed, has just joined the kitchen! Fabulous lunch fare as you might expect from Chef Ennest, the special of the day was a very generous portion of grilled salmon with butter chicken, fresh baked naan bread, rice, and other accompaniments – who else would put these flavours together? We can’t wait for the new menu launch coming in a week or so – watch this space!

Are you a Hippie Snack aficionado? This Burnaby, BC-based company has developed a new organic Sesame Snack that is very different to those you are used to. It’s organic, non-GMO, low in sugar, gluten-free and contains no artificial ingredients. And –it’s made with crunchy white and black organic sesame seeds, and sweetened with coconut sugar. The result is a deeply flavoured, delicious snack more reminiscent of molasses than white sugar, with less sugar than found in similar products, and two grams of fibre in each serving. We’re in!
