Fill your New Year’s Eve 2013 with great food and drink at one of these decadent events. From tasting menus to murder-mystery dinners, there’s a dinner to fit everyone.
Care to hit the sack right after the clock hits midnight? Many of these events have early seatings for your dining pleasure.
Toast 2014 at Market Restaurant with a five-course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Dave Bohati. $100 per person (plus gratuity) includes complimentary champagne and live entertainment.
Yellow Door Bistro and Raw Bar
Indulge in a five-course tasting menu with optional wine pairings at Yellow Door Bistro ($75 per person), then head over to the newly-redesigned Raw Bar to celebrate the New Year with Executive Chef Duncan Ly.
The New Year’s Eve party will feature entertainment by Amy Thiessen, Curtis Glas and DJ Mari, $50 per person plus $25 rebate if dining at Yellow Door or staying at Hotel Arts. Reservations for dinner recommended.
Choose from two seatings for a memorable New Year’s Eve at the Kensington Riverside Inn’s Chef’s Table. The early dinner at 5:30pm features a four-course menu for $85 plus either $35 or $70 for regular or premium wine pairings, while the late dinner at 8pm offers a five-course menu, at $105 per person plus either $45 or $90 for regular or premium wine pairings.
Head over to Fort Calgary for, “A Night of Cocktails, Murder and Dancing.” Enjoy a murder mystery dinner, swing dancing and a bubbly toast at midnight. $125 per person.
Executive Chef Tyler Handy is preparing two tasting menus for New Year’s Eve. Choose the 6 pm seating with a six-course meal at $125 per person, or the 9 pm seating with the choice of a six or eight course meal at $80 or $100 per person respectively. Optional wine pairings are available, of course!
Selkirk Grille – Heritage Park
Celebrate New Year’s Eve in style at Heritage Park’s Selkirk Grille. Executive Chef Jan Hansen has crafted a seven-course dinner for a truly elegant evening. $89.85 plus GST per person.
Join Xocolat for their New Year’s Eve celebrations including a three-course meal with wine-pairing, champagne and dancing until 2 am. $150 per person.
Go for a walk in Prince’s Island Park before sitting down to a six-course regional and seasonal tasting menu at River Café. $110 per person, optional wine pairing $60.
Grab a group of friends and go to Boxwood for a night of delicious food and drink. Aperitifs and sparkling wine are followed by a progressive menu of family-style platters. $60 per person, plus beverages, gratuities and gst.
National on 10th and National on 17th
Both locations of National will be hosting New Year’s Eve events. Join National on 10th for first-come-first-served bowling with snacks and amusements $25; and National on 17th for free oysters, tasting stations, midnight champagne and snacks, $50.
Bar C will be offering a three-course dinner along with their full a la carte menu. Groups over six will receive a free sparkling wine toast at midnight. $50 per person (three-course menu) with optional $35 wine pairings.
