Cono Sur Vineyards & Winery was founded in 1993, with the vision of producing premium, expressive and innovative wines that convey the spirit of the New World. “Cono Sur” refers to the company’s geographic position, representing wines proudly made in South America’s Southern Cone, on whose western edge lays Chile and its gifted wine valleys.

Lead by General Manager and Chief Winemaker Adolfo Hurtado, Cono Sur’s enological team has been recognized for their excellence and innovation invested in every Cono Sur wine. Adolfo has led Cono Sur into what it is today one of the largest wineries in Chile and one of the largest producers of Pinot Noir in the world. More so, he has been able to combine environmental concerns with innovative policies, all while producing top quality wines. He firmly believes that Cono Sur understands and has achieved the best versions of New World wines. Through intense fruit aromas and elegant concentrations with ever-fuller palates, Cono Sur´s products convey the finest of Chile´s gifted wine valleys.

Since 1998, their commitment to the environment has been growing and assuming new challenges. Sustainable agriculture, integrated vineyard management and several carbon footprint reduction projects have taken them to the forefront of environmentally friendly winemaking around the world. On the vineyard, workers have returned to the bicycle as the most ubiquitous means of transportation on the roads of Chimbarongo. For Cono Sur, the bicycle has become a symbol that honors their employees and represents their commitment to developing viticulture both in excellence and with respect for the environment. Both these concepts, the bicycle and environment have inspired to amazing ranges from Cono Sur: Bicicleta and Organic.

Bicicleta Pinot Noir

Dressed in fresh purple red colour, this is a voluptuous Pinot Noir with rich fruit notes of cherry, raspberry, plum and strawberry – a red fruit party! – enhanced by subtle smoked hints. In mouth sweet fruit notes stand out, and its fine tannins give it a great texture and a mouth filling structure. Balanced and New World styled, this is a wine of personality and elegance. Sexy, pure and simple, it’s a young and refreshing Pinot.

Food Pairing

Our Bicicleta Pinot Noir is a great choice for all sorts of pasta, grilled poultry, seafood and mild fish. It’s also excellent when accompanying dishes served with pesto sauces. If ordering in, mushroom pizza and sushi go great with this wine.

Cono Sur Organic Cabernet Sauvignon/Carmenere

This reddish purple wine from Colchagua Valley offers an expressive and very fruity nose, with notes of plums, berries, and dry fruits. In the mouth, this juicy blend is a delightful concentration of red and black fruits, which are in complete harmony with soft tannins. A wine of integrated character, that culminates in a chocolate finish with underlying woody and toasty hints.

Food Pairing

It goes well with all kinds of red meats, pâté, lamb and game included. It’s also a great choice to serve next to stews, casseroles, and legumes.
