Maple Syrup Pie

Yield: 1 9" pie

Ingredients

1 9” pastry baked shell

2 eggs

1 cup (250 mL) brown sugar

1/2 cup (125 mL) maple syrup

1 cup (250 mL) whipping cream

1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 350F
  2. Beat eggs lightly and slowly add brown sugar, maple syrup, whipping cream and vanilla. Continue to beat until all sugar crystals are gone.
  3. Pour filling into the shell and bake in the oven at 350’F for 45 minutes (or until centre is firm). Let it cool before serving.
  4. Optional - Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream is great as an added topping!
