Yangarra Estate Vineyard 2010 Shiraz

Just the very first swirl and sniff will tell you that this is ordinary Aussie Shiraz. You’re met with notes of rich blackcurrant, dark mocha and tobacco leaf undertones. On the palate, these are joined by plum and spice. The wine is juicy and rounded with ripe, silky soft tannins and a very long finish that leads to another sip and another sip…it’s hardly surprising that Parker gave it 93 points and Halliday 94 points. Natural wild yeast, I don’t want food with this wine – I just want to keep on sipping it in front of the fire with a good book, movie or friend.
