Joie Farm 2012 “En Famille” Reserve Gewurztraminer

Only available in BC and from the winery, this is worth getting in your car and heading out to the Okanagan Valley for. On the palate, it’s unctuous, rich and creamy, mouth-filling and slightly oily, this is a delight of a gewürztraminer. It isn’t heavily lychee-flavoured or waxy, but fresh and smelling of rose petals with basil and other herbs. Aromoatic and fragrant, I’m craving Chicken and Cashew Nuts, Triple Cream Brie, and Moroccan Chicken with Apricots and Chick Peas. 208 cases made $28
