Las Mulas Organic Sauvignon Blanc

There’s a lovely citrusy/herbal nose to this wine, a little green olive, with deeper notes of tarragon in the background. The palate is lighter and more tropical than you might first imagine from the nose, but with a great acidity to balance the fruit, it will make your mouth water. This makes me hungry for ceviche, prawns in a lime vinaigrette, salt and pepper squid, leek risotto, zucchini, or wherever your fancy takes you along the aperitif canapé menu. A great, easy-drinking, crowd-pleasing value wine. Open it on your patio and then regret you didn’t buy several bottles.

Parallele 45 Cotes Du Rhone Rosé 2015
Rhone Valley, France

Such a gorgeous salmon pink colour, with a delicate and pretty nose of red berries and anise, yet beautifully balanced with mouth-watering acidity, and flavours of redcurrants. A real summer sipper to drink alone or share with friends, and with almost any food! Being dry yet fruity, it’s hugely versatile for pairing with anything from salmon quiche to tuna tartare; spicy sausage to a spinach salad; and any pickled veggies. It’s also fabulous with Safari Grill’s spinach pakoras!
